Are concrete screws suitable for fixing timber to a hollow brick wall? All manner of questions and solutions to problems and issues surrounding the subject of brickwork, blockwork and stonework

I need to fix a 4x2 timber to a hollow brick wall for a small indoor/outdoor building project.
The timber will mainly support a light frame, but I would like the fixing to remain secure over time. I am considering concrete screws because they seem straightforward to install, but I am not sure whether they are suitable for hollow brick rather than solid masonry.
Would frame fixings or a sleeve-type anchor be a better option? Are there any particular problems with the screw ending up in a cavity instead of one of the solid webs of the brick?
I would also appreciate advice on washer size, pilot-hole drilling, and whether zinc-plated or galvanised fixings are preferable if the wall is exposed to some moisture.

Concrete screws as the name says are designed to be used in (solid) concrete not hollow bricks. It depends on what type of bricks are present as to what is the best type of fixing.
The size of any holes will depend on the actual fixings used, most fixings will have this information listed on the packet, galvanisation is a coating of zinc, so zinc-plated or galvanised are the same thing.
