use a hammer and flat screwdriver and take off a piece of the external plaster at the sill height, both sides you should be able to see the brickwork. Use a spirit level and check the frame for plumb, and see if the frame is out, allow for the tolerance.
Measure the internal plaster and check for the difference is measurement,
You may need an add on of 20mm for the hinge side of the door, as the hinges are on the frame of the new door so allow for that.
So if the door for example is 900mm wide brick to brick the door will be 870mm plus 20mm add on, allowing a 10mm tolerance
