Broken chair joint epoxy repair?

by fhkhf » Mon Jan 31, 2022 5:57 pm

Got two dining chairs that have had a joint break off in very similar places. They’ve detached at the weld point…considering trying to fix it up with an adhesive / epoxy but not sure whether it will hold weight - what should I use?

I’ve had a look at JB Weld but I see comments online suggesting the tensile strength figure is overstated / optimistic!

Hi fhkhf,
You haven’t got a chance of success with an epoxy repair. Re-welding the joints are the only way to success.
