Hi, am hoping someone will be able to help. Looking to install a new door knob. Old mortice door latch was 5”. Am looking to install one which is 4” but this will mean the hole that will need drilling for the door knob will be exactly where the lock stile meets the lock rail. If the door is of mortice and tenon construction will it damage it to drill a hole where the two meet? Thanks for any advice.
