Looking After a new Foundation Over Winter?

by vs1101 » Thu Nov 08, 2018 10:30 am

Just got concrete poured into newly dug foundations for a large detached shed at the back of the garden. However, we have decided to build in April next year when the weather gets better. Do I need to cover the foundations, leave it open or do something else to protect? Any advice will be most welcome. Thanks.

Assuming the concrete has go off/set i wouldn't worry. Its when you do the pour that you dont want freezing weather as it could crack when the water gets frozen & expands while setting.
