New here, and not sure if this is the right place to post this?
I've recently moved into a 1935 house. I started stripping the lining paper in one of the spare bedrooms. Under the window though, once the lining paper is off, it's not plaster under there like the rest of the room, its metal. (I've tested with a magnet).
Why would this be there? What do I do with it? If i need to get work done on it what type of tradesperson would I go for?
