Moving a washing machine further away from drain

by Jason7t1 » Thu Oct 19, 2023 3:09 pm

I need to move my washing machine a couple of feet to the left of where it currently is.(further away from the water and the drain) I’ll need to extend the cold water inlet pipe and the drainage hose. Before I go down to screwfix or wherever to buy the bits. Are there any issues or pitfalls I should be aware of in extending these pipes? I’m assuming the the water pressure won’t drop over such a small distance and the drain pump will be similarly unaffected?

Hi jason711,
Buy a longer cold water pipe and a waste pipe extension to suit new position. There should not be any problems with the extended hoses.
