Damp walls of kennel block

by Wetdog » Fri Dec 30, 2022 4:33 pm

I had a 9x3m kennel block constructed , it was built using single blocks and a corrugated tin roof, the roofing sheets are backed with fabric and sold as non drip , but since the dogs moved in I’ve encountered serious condensation issues, leaving the door and window tops certainly helps during the day but the recent cold snap meant I had to close them up at night, the non drip roofing certainly does not drip but moisture gravities down the pitch of the roof until it reaches the cross timbers and onto the wall head and down the wall.
Seriously in need of advice, what steps should I take.
I’m sure I understand the reason for condensation, but looking for a way to combat it.
All advice greatly appreciated

Hi wetdog,
You could try forming a plastic corrugated roof inside underneath the tin roof and feed any condensate into an internal gutter.
