Re rendering my house

by Spider » Tue Jun 12, 2007 11:33 am

The rear of my house needs re rendering and the builder has stated that the bricks are in a poor condition. What he would like to do is place stainless steel EML over the existing render and then render on top of that. Is this an acceptable method and where can i get stainless steel eml only seem to be able to find galvanised stuff.

unless your bricks are falling to peices mate you should be able to just go striaght on to your bricks if however they are in that bad a state you need to go to a builders merchant and ask for some 8 x 4 sheets of expamet mesh which you should be able to find easily enough.
Hope this helps mate
