Yep looks like a good option, have since found out it was full of water in the casing so that’s why it was tripping . Guessing it shouldn’t be sticking so far out from ceiling either , there’s no seal so air just coming back through the foam .

Hi Recently moved into a property and am finding some problems , noticed the bathroom extractor fan looks to have been bodged, there doesn’t look to be isolated anywhere as it’s connected to the lighting circuit with no timer etc so just turns on and off with the light switch .
