Driveway drainagei advice

I'm planning out a new driveway and looking at putting in a soakaway for run off. The garden slopes towards the pavement which is ideal and i plan to put in a channel drain however it also has a slight fall from left to right, towards the boundary wall. I guess there isn't a problem with running the...

Incorporating a water blade into a block planter

I hope someone can help because this is beyond me! I have almost finished building a large planter from concrete blocks and have one course still to add (4 in total). The planter is right angled with two large 'squares' at either end. Having looked at water features for the garden the popular choice...

Re: Waterproofing a rendered block planter

Thanks for the reply. Having read up I think its tanking slurry that'll be using the paint the inside of the planter

Waterproofing a rendered block planter

Hi. I'm building a large rendered planter from concrete blocks and I've read that its advisable to paint the interior with tanking paint. My question is, as the soil will not be to the brim I will need to render the top 10cm or of of the interior. If I paint that section with the waterproof paint wi...

Can you fix fence panels to the face of the post?

I would like to erect a double slatted fence but would prefer the look of the panels butting against each other without being 'interrupted' with fence posts. Is there any issues with this? Would I just screw the panels straight onto the posts? I know I could buy individual battens but it seems to wo...
