Re: Can I Run TV and Sky Box on 5 Amp Socket?

TV = 123W
SKY = 45W
So this alone is less than an amp, right?

Can I Run TV and Sky Box on 5 Amp Socket?

Hi,
I have a plug socket, which has a label stating 5amp lighting only.
Will it cope with running a 47in lcd and sky box?
Thanks
Iggy

Outside paint blown from wall

The exterior of my house was repainted 5 years ago and I have noticed an area approx 8ft high and 4ft wide where the paint has come away from the wall and is starting to flake of. The render under the blown paint is very wet, I think due to poor guttering which I will fix. I will be repainting this ...

Thanks for the replies.
The wiring is just a flat whit sleave with the two wires in, one black and one red, so unfortunantly no yellow and green wire learking around.
If the switch has an yellow and green wire could an additional wire be traced from this point?.

Adding earthing wire options

I have recently brought class one wall lights but the current wiring only has one red and one black wire.
Are there such things as stand alone earthing module that are small enough to sit behind the light in a recess in the wall, or do I have to get earth wires traced to these lights?.
Cheers.

Thanks everyone,
I will invest in a tester to find the live wire and then mark it for future reference.
Cheers.

Hi KB,
Yes I meant green/yellow sleeve on the earth cable.
So I just connect the 2 black cables to live and neutral and connect the earths to the earth on the lamp?.
Thanks for the help.
Cheers.

Replacing a ceiling lamp
