Radiator Recommendations

I am planning on replacing a standard radiator with a designer style vertical radiator in anthracite. I will need a high output of 6000BTU plus. I have researched online and I am struggling to find any consensus on what is a quality radiator brand to select from. I’m not necessarily looking for top ...

Window Leaking Noise

I am looking for some advice regarding excessive noise through my double glazing. The house is a new build (4 years) and the windows are visually fine, I suspect the builder hasn’t used the finest windows money can buy but they seem reasonable quality. I can clearly hear conversations from the pavem...

Re: Replacing Trickle Vents With Acoustic Trickle Vents

Re: Soundproofing interior door using solid door

The house is only four years old would you normally have to reinforce the frame to take the extra weight.

Do you have any experience with the Norseal products.

Re: Replacing Trickle Vents With Acoustic Trickle Vents

Thanks Gents, apologies for taking so long to repond. The noise is mainly from screaming kids outside. I was considering the trickle vents as a first stage as it appears to be the cheapest and easiest and if Google is to be believed seems to be fairly succesful. The thinking seems to be that you hav...

Soundproofing interior door using solid door

I am planning on soundproofing an interior door. The thinking at the moment is to replace the existing hollow door with a solid core door, a Norseal NOR810 dropseal and NOR720 door seal. I have never attempted anything like this before and wanted to see if anyone here has any experience/thoughts on ...

Replacing Trickle Vents With Acoustic Trickle Vents

I am in a new build house (4 years old) and I am looking to improve the soundporoofing to the front of the house. Google has come up with various options including, foam around window frame, acoustic glass etc. The easiest and cheapest option seems to be replacing my basic trickle vents with acousti...
