Should I replace my Boulter Camray Quartet?

Just bought a property with a Boulter Camray Quartet non-condensing oil boiler. It looks pretty ancient. Would anyone recommend a replacement?

Thanks,

Jeff.

Replacement TRV

Hi, I have two radiators with TRVs that no longer work. I took them off, and recycled them, but now I can't find a replacement that fits. I've attached a photo of the remaining bit of the radiator valve, I was wondering if someone could recomment a TRV that would fit with this, or perhaps an adaptor...

time delay light switch won't switch off

Recently I installed a fluorescent light fitting in my garage with a single pole switch, and it worked fine. I've now taken the switch off and replaced it with a time delay switch, where I press the button, and the light should come on for about ten minutes, and then switch off by itself. but the li...

prevent condensation on outside of toilet

Hi, We have a porcelain toilet, supplied directly from the mains. In summer it works well, but in winter, the water filling the tank is really cold, and condensation forms on the outside of the tank. It then drips on the floor and causes a bit of a mess. Any suggestions on how to prevent this? Thank...

Should I replace my Ideal Elan

Hi, Just moved into a bungalow - I guess it was built in the early to mid 80s, so 20 to 25 years old. It has two bathrooms. The CH and HW system is driven by an Ideal Elan boiler, which can simaltanously heat water for the hot tank (900 mm x 450 mm tank) and heat the radiators (about 10 of them, dif...

Faulty CH control box

Hi, I have a Lifestyle LP241 control box, and a Sunvic SD2701 motorised valve In the last couple of weeks when the HW is set to come on, the HW side of the controller lights up, but the CH gets hot. CH also appears to work normally on the CH side of the controller. I've done a few tests: Took the ac...

Faulty 3 way valve? CH working but no HW

Just back from Christmas break, switched the HW off for 3 weeks, but left CH on for about 12 hours a day. Now, HW is only intermittently working. I have a gas boiler, and an indirect hot water tank, and an Invensys LP241 control panel. Everything seems to work on the panel, lights come on at the rig...
