OPEN LOFT

Hi Guys
we are thinking of buying an older house which it seems has an "OPEN LOFT" that is to say no party wall in the apex,
Can i just go ahead and brick it up without consultation with neighbour and local council or any other official body for that matter ????????

DANFOSS TRVs

Hi again,
have now aquired some trvs, but the olive looks alien to me, it seems massive compared to standard 8mm olive found in rad valve, does it actualy compress onto pipe ok as the pipe seems quite slack, and yes it most definately is an 8mm olive + 8mm pipe

TRV ! WHICH BRAND IS BEST ?

Hi Guys,
I am about to change five radiators and need new TRV's, can someone reccomend a brand to go for, looking to pay up to £15 each, have seen honeywell VT15 AG for £9 each on the net, I need vertical & horizontal fitting as well as 8mm inlets.

Thanks in advance

dont do it

i think you should leave well alone and stick to a vase on the windowcill, the flue could well be part of the structure and is clearly there for a purpose

if its any help, i put mine into the ceiling, ducted across the loft space and exit through the soffit, this has worked fine for past 7 years, you could buy the whole kit from B+Q then for about £30

WHICH BOILER TO GO FOR

i now need to decide which one to go for.
basic condenser or combi,
which is the most cost effective to run,
Also if combi is fitted does gas man remove old hot and cold storage tanks and circulating pump and diverter valve or does this lot stay in place
