Re: Boiler loses pressure when heating goes on

Great - hopefully I'll get the thing fixed before it starts snowing :)

Re: Boiler loses pressure when heating goes on

Hmmm....the pipe outside is dripping so thanks for your help with this. I've got someone to come and take a look at it. Hopefully it's a boiler issue which won't need all the floorboards taking up.

Thanks once again!

Re: Boiler loses pressure when heating goes on

Aha, OK - interesting. When the heating was switched on to flush the fluid to seal any leaks around the system, the pressure was dead-in consistent at 2. After it was switched off it started dropping and now it sits at just below 1. This will be fine for a couple of weeks if I only use hot water, af...

Re: Boiler loses pressure when heating goes on

Hi, and thank you. When the boiler only gets used for hot water, the pressure drops but very very slowly. So I need to re-pressurise it let's say, once every couple of weeks. When the heating gets switched on the pressure will rise and remain constant whilst the heating is on but then as soon as the...

Boiler loses pressure when heating goes on

Hi I have a Worcester 24i boiler. When the heating goes on, it loses pressure and needs to be repressurised using the filling loop. Someone's come out to have a look at it and has checked it over and apparently the boiler itself is fine but they think that there must be a little leak in the pipes so...

Re: Question about boiler servicing and not firing up

I asked for a boiler service - I wasn't aware that a systems check would also be required. Looks as if they'll need to come out again then.

Question about boiler servicing and not firing up

Hello Some advice please. I've had my boiler serviced before I move into a property. The boiler was fine apparently apart from needing a new temperature dial. The company have given me a price for the spare part and also a cost for coming back and fitting it. I'll pay them to do that when I move in....

Re: 2 water meters and 2 stopcocks - why?

Yes, it’s odd isn’t it? Definitely not the case though but it would make more sense than this does!

2 water meters and 2 stopcocks - why?

Thought this would be a good place to ask a very basic plumbing-related question. I've bought a property and currently there's no water. There are two water meters, one under the sink and one in the airing cupboard. In that cupboard there look to be two stopcocks. Before I switch the stopcocks on, I...
