if ur not to handy urself id leave it up to a brikkie to do it. he'll do a better job and probably save u money. bricking up a window would cost less than a hundred but u'd need to finish of the inside aswell so depending on the internal finish ud need to add that add aswell. prob overall id say les...

if it's plaster or a plasterboard recess then u could use plasterboard fixings(spiral shaped metal fixings) mark ur hole positions then screw them in. ur only problem would be the length of the srews that come with the fixings, u may have to substitute these for a smaller length. i wouldnt try drill...
