I have a victorian fireplace that I need to replace the fire bricks in. I have read that it is possible to buy a standard size fire brick and then cut down to the required size using a grinder. Many thanks for the replies. It seemed like that had to be the case but wanted to make sure I wasn't being a complete dumb ******* before making any holes in my new bath!!
