Hot Water Tank Thermostat Replacement

I have a hot water tank fed from boiler rather than immersion heated. The thermostat on the tank needs replacing and the cable has the traditional earth, live and neutral. The new Drayton HTS3 I bought has a C, 1 and 2 connections. Does anyone know which of the earth, live and neutral go to the C, 1...
