I mentioned it to a neighbour and they think with the two prongs at the top that one of those solutions would work. Is that correct?? I would really like to save the lamp legs and overall look. I just don’t know what to do. If I even knew who to take it to I would.

Was it by any chance knocked it over? It doesn't need a new cable, the part that would secure the lamp holder is missing. It looks like a generic production line lamp = no spares.
