hi, iam interested in running a power supply to a shed i have i will want only 1 light and 2-3 sockets i will have a grinder and a table saw in the shed,and more want to had later my question is what size cable should be used i have read a few post and one says 4mm is not enough for 2x 32amp + a 6am...

cable for pump help

HI, iam having a pump fitted and have a question if anybody can help, i have a 2.5 cable swa from my home to a shed and i need to install a pump, i have been told the pump ia a 30amp and need to know if the 2.5 cable is ok for the pump, i have access to a new 17th ed book but dont know where to look...

thanks for the info i have had periodic inspection reports done and its says that

protective device over rated for the cable - part of circuit wired in 1mm flex

the mcb is a 16amp and this feeds a radial circuit and a bell is also wired into the mcb which is 1mm

electric bell wired into 16amp mcb

hi,
i need some advice on a electric bell,
i have ssen a bell wired straight in a 16amp mcb which also controls a radial curcuit
i can see how this is correct should the radial be at 20amp amd can some tell me what the bell should be in

hi,
tha alarm panel has around 6 red cables coming out of it and one white 3core flex which i believe is the power to the unit

it helped to know that now its done in fp100
and the fact that the fa panel is very old - i would say around 10 years would be why it is done in 3 core flex

would this need to be changed asap or is it ok untill it is time for a change

HI, general question if anybody knows a FA PANEL ( fire alarm ) what should it be wired in someone said to me as long as it is the right sze of cable 1.5mm or 2.5mm it is fine but i also was told it should be a fire proof cable ( i cant remember the name sorry ) but i was told its red does it matter...

ZS ZE READINGS

hi, thanks for what you have said it is interesting, the system is a TN-S the ZE reading is 3.62 no sure if this info will help but in one of the sections that says Zs reading above 100% of max Zs so too high for disconection in the req time - this reading is for one of manyand is for some shop ligh...
