Cold water storage for pumped supply

I'm fitting a pump to feed a bathroom and an ensuite with shower (Salamander RHP 75). The guide book recommends an 80 gallon storage tank for this. Is that overkill, do you think? It would mean an extra £200 for the tank, and reconstructing the loft to carry the weight!

Aquapanel dot & dab?

Is there an adhesive I can use to dot & dab aquapanel onto a slightly damp chimney breast, or should I batten it?

Although this is no help to you, Martinp, I have exactly the same problem on two chimney breast walls. One chimney is open with an infrequently used fireplace, and the other is closed. The damp affects the top of the walls and an area of ceiling. I'm pretty sure that there's no leak in the chimney f...

When to fit new kitchen floor

It's not paranoia, Mr T. Leaking washing machines are not uncommon and can cause no end of damage. I covered my floor with tiles right up to the walls partly for this reason, having just suffered a leak that went undetected for a long time. The advantages mentioned by others are important too, as is...
