wall units

many wall units are 720mm high and often sit 500mm or more above worktop height but when building above a hob there are regulations.. min height for extractor over an electric/gas hob generally 650mm up to 750mm.. due to fire hazard if a pan caught alight etc... if you choose a slimline 600 cabinet ...

kitchen joint

Might be knackered but hold them horses and see if it retracts.... ive seen them bubble up due to pressure sometimes ( i fit these and am not talking about my work by the way!) how long since the join was done? Was it bolted and if so did the bolt get slackened off ??

My sister has a solid pine kitchen and she uses a steam cleaner - comes up a treat - Although you understand I can't be held responsible for this method not causing damage ! Hope this helps :D
