Stair handrail

Anyone know of an easy way to fix end brackets to a hand rail, Bought new hand rail but expected the brackets to fit flush, any easy way to fit these withoutm having to sand tha hand rail and maybe ruin the finish

New kitchen spotliights

Thanks to Stevenc firstly for the help with my last problem, I went to replace the old kitchen lights with spotlights, One has two sets of cables, 2 blacks, 2 red and 2 earths, I wired them the way the came off, Two reds to the loop and one black to the neutral and one to live, The lights stayed on ...

I am refurbishing an old house, I went to replace the existing lights but there are three sets of wires, have tried nunerous combinations but have had no luck and dont have lights in 2 differnts rooms as a result, Can someone tell me how to wire these correctly, I have a little tester so know which ...
