Gas smelling paint

Hi - not sure if you have had a chance to read all the entries but I posted several in July 08 mentioning the very same problem. I posted an entry saying that I had solved the problem with one coat of alkali resisting primer and a coat of dulux emulsion..... thought it doesnt seem to work for everyo...

smelly gassy paint

We have now re-painted all the ceilings with primer+1 coat of dulux emulsion and the problem does seem to have gone..... However, not in the sitting room - to my horror I have now discovered that my painters also used Crown on the walls (not Dulux as they normally do) and therefore we are now repain...

Gassy smelling paint

We have used the alkali resisting primer (undiluted) + 1 coat of dulux emulsion in the sitting room as a trial before we start repainting all the other ceilings. Unfortunately it hasnt been very sunny - though Fri was warmish and I did smell something in the other rooms but not the sitting room.... ...
