Cheers Freeman just to confirm - you're saying that if the flue runs out hoisontally, its ok provided that it then turns and runs up to roof level on the outside of the building? Thats actually not so much of a problem, the freeholder's generaly pretty good about that kind of thing. Not too sure abo...
In terms of reinstating the chimney - forget it Oh and get it commissioned by a CORGI registered installer, you wouldn't want to have to pay a big insurance claim, should anything go wrong.
huh? I'm having a wood burner. What are your views on the other questions?

Ventillation and draughts

Hi Docs A bedroom in my house has been very cold and plagued by condensation and as the walls were very cold to the touch (being solid) I opted to dry line the room and have also installed an extra radiator. I'm pretty sure that I should also ventillate the room better in some way but am a bit loath...

damp above the dpc ???

Hey Docs I've been scratching my head for a while about what I'm assuming to be penetrating damp which appears sporadically at the base of a wall in one of our bedrooms. The wall is solid and there is an injected DPC. Looking from the outside, I'm pretty sure that the damp patch we see on the inside...

Hey Docs I'm putting in a new toliet in a single storey extension to my ground floor flat. (converted victorian semi). How high does the waste pipe vent need to be - full height of the existing buiilding or just to the roof level of the new extension? Does it make a difference if there are windows a...
