If youre not happy try talking to him, you wouldnt pay for a shirt with one arm missing so why pay for a sub-standard job, worst case scenario get a pro into do you a written quote to put right give to guy who did work and try hit a happy medium. somebodys bound to lose out, but why should it be you?

Only my opinion but if joists exposed you should get as much wood to wood contact for the sake of £50 ,
If the floor has bowed then its weakend so stablizing is the key word,
Also Id bolt rather than screw.

Yep

If over large area you may want to cut strip lines in to cusionfloor so theres free air flow.

Hi, Did you heat the room in any way to dry out ? Also how long did fitter leave concrete to dry before fitting flooring? if force dried concrete dries out on top but not underneath, then the floor fitter suffocates the concrete with adhesive, the rest of the moisture finds the least resistance way ...

Ive done it before worked good for me and saves on underlay!!
you need a good tight pile on the carpet the one prob I did have was when clicking lam together bits of carpet can get into joints beware!!!

Laminate

you dont need the newspaper but the 2mm foam has its use's
it acts as a suppressor as the laminate "floats" above the sub floor think jam in the sandwich!!! also it helps with sliding the laminate in place when fitting.

Weight issue

Need to be carefull with the weights you're loading onto the flooring, If it was me I'd cut a roofing batten down to the 30mm and lay against the gable wall then get a long straight edge and put at a right angle to it, then rip more battens down grading to other side of room, pin down and board over...

Might help

could you try raking out the damaged area with a nail and re-grout the area ?
I dont think colouring products will work for you as when youre mopping the dis-colouration will just bleed through again.
