Call in a part p registered spark and have a chat with him and he can best advise you and perhaps he let you do the donkey work under his supervision and then he can test the work and sign it off

It sounds like to me you have a broken neutral connection on the light that is not working or perhaps a loose switch wire connection an the light fitting.I would recommend you isolate the lighting circuit and then open the light fitting up and check for loose or broken connections regards Topspark

In respect a ring main can be 50 square metres and in that area you can have as many sockets on that circuit as you want but it sounds to me as though you wont be breaking the 50 square metres for the work you are doing or having done regards Topspark

If your water pressure is ok why not have a conventional electric shower installed directly off the cold water feed. An 8.5Kw should suffice.Then get an electrician in to install the electric circuit as this is covered by part p of the building regs. regards Topspark

NO definitely not a shower circuit is a shower circuit and not to be cut into and used for any other purpose.And this is the same for cooker circuits as well.

I would recommend you get a length of plastic conduit and make a set in it to cross over the heating leaving a small gap between pipes and conduit.
