Bathroom Mirror and Light - Fault?

Hi, hoping someone can guide me in the right direction for a fix here. I have a bathroom mirror that has a G10q T9 32w Circular Fluorescent tube in it - which needed replacing, I bought a new tube and installed it. Initially I thought the sensor switch was faulty, passing my hand over the switch did...

Re: Storm Drain Channel Placement

thanks for the reply welsh brickie! I was only planning on putting drainage behind the garage (as it is from here the water is worse). Although currently it does run onto the path and down the side of the garage, it is not a problem on the grass. I would expect that by placing an aco drain along the...

Storm Drain Channel Placement

Hi I recently found we get a hell of a lot of water run off from the two gardens at the back of our garden - which are about a foot higher than our garden. The main problem comes from a particular section, at the back of my garage, which incidently has an extended concrete base at the back. What I i...

A Lean to Roof

Hi Not sure this is in the right forum, but I would like to make a lean to roof at the back of my garage. So pretty straightforward, using timber posts, for the roof I will likely use bitumen corrugated sheets. I have some questions about the pitch of the roof in order to get the run off from the ba...

Ok thanks for the reply. In fact the garage is seperate from the house, its a concrete garage. I will do as you say I think, just sort out the lighting and new switch then get someone in to wire up to the box.

Cheers!

Thanks for the reply, what your saying is actually creating a spur off an existing power point. What I meant was can I make an extension cable with a plug at one end, feed the cable outside the house (bedroom) up into the loft space and add a plug socket on the end of the extension cable for the tv?...

Ok, this may seem odd, but.... I want to put a tv on my bedroom wall and hide the cabling, I dont mind chasing out about 1-2ft got ariel and power to go up into the loft, but dont want to chase the entire wall right down to a power socket. I also dont want to be lifting carpets or floor boards. So I...

Garage Floor - damp, epoxy or paint.....?

Hi All Ok, I have recently had a new garage put up, its just a simple concrete panel flat roof type, put on an existing concrete base. Now since it has been done, when it rains heavily the fillet on the inside round the edge can get quite damp - the suppliers have been back and redone the fillet wit...

Changing pull cord for PIR - wiring confusion...

Hi there, I have a bathroom pull cord that I would like to change to a flush mounted PIR. However on pulling down the existing pull core I find three wires - two of which are in one terminal and the other on its own. The colour of the cables are all the same too - red with green on them - the house ...

Ok I have tried to extend the Neutral wires, screwing the original cables into a 30 connector block (one for each wire) then used the some blue neutral wires to connect to the other end of the block - again one for each cable - then connected these to plug socket. However, the fuse box keeps trippin...
