Just a note to Peter, On a recent trip to the States was advised
that most fitters dont use copper untill the leads, plastic pipe is used more now than ever before. Britain is so far behind.

Hi, that is good advice, a spark will sort your problem. Tell him to have a look at your Y-plan in your wiring centre.

Hi, sounds like your zone valve has a fault in it. The valve should move to HW only but sounds as if it is stuck in the HW and HTG position. You need a new mid position zone valve and someone to fit it.
