Hi Plumbbob Initially three radiators downstairs didn't get very hot but looking at other posts on the website I closed the valves on some of the rads upstairs and they quickly got very hot downstairs. Just wanted to say thank you to Plumbbob for suggestion about pump. Turned it down and now no problem. Central heating the quietest it has been for years!

You say you have no leaks but have you checked inside the boiler itself. My experience with this sort of slow loss of pressure is due to a leaky heat exchanger which doesn't show up with drips. Radiator fills up with air when hot water comes on!

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why the radiator on my landing sounds like it is emptying its water every time I turn on the hot water. It is the first radiator connected to the boiler.
