The valve was almost closed completely, the rads are now getting hot both top and bottom..... there are 2 rads not getting too hot, I noticed the return valve and pipe was getting hot before the flow on these 2 rads....... would this...

Heating

I have just found out that when the engineer was round trying to solve the original problem and fitting a new pump (that was not needed)

He charged my great aunt (101 yrs old)

OVER £700 for installing the pump!

WTF is that all about?

Heating

If the pump is turned any higher than the first setting, water comes from the overflow in the roof. I have tried balancing the system already, this didn't work. Heating/Hot water cylinder

The system is indirect. The engineer has replaced the pump because apparently the old one (a year old) was too small, if the old pump was set at 2 or 3 and the new one is set at 1..... Would this be any different? If the new one is set any higher, water starts coming from the overflow out of the roo...

If the smaller pump was set on N...

She's had a heating engineer round today who's told her that her hot water cylinder is drawing air in and she needs a new one. The problem is he's also told her she needs a c...
