Please advise me about DG repair estimates

5 of my units of various sizes in the main house and conservatory have misted window panes, internally. I have emailed locally and have received estimates ranging from £185 with 10 year warranty to £290 with 5 year warranty. Superficially they all seem to offer the same service, remove old sealed un...

It's a combi system, and I guess it would be the heat exchanger causing the difference as you say. I intend to have the boiler replaced and was wondering, being a complete rocking horse with anything tech  , if flow determines in any way the boiler rating. Would actually installing a 35kw over ...

My bath taps give approx 10 l/min cold and 7.5 hot flow rates. What causes the difference, and is it adjustable?

[quote="Steve the gas"]Hi, The hot water requirements is the way good installers match a boiler to a client.Which boiler do you have and what is its output for HW in litres/minute? If your bathroom is quite a distance from the boiler then you could slow the rate you fill a bath and see the...

Is the problem also to do with boiler rating?

I have a problem with not being to run a bath quickly using my combi boiler, as the water runs cold intermittently. I was advise to read up on hard water. Having done that I have consulted a local heating engineer and plumber, whose initial over phone comment was that the boiler was likely under rat...

Sometime before we took over in 2002 the occupant ...
