Advice Please on Best System for 4 bed House

I currently have a conventional boiler with a gravity feed vented hot water tank. I would like to do away with the hot water cylinder to make better use of the space. I’m told an unvented tank in my attic would be best as a Combi boiler would not be up to the job of supplying the various demands a 4...

Tips and Steamer for Removing Woodchip Wallpaper

WOODCHIP!! Aaaarrrrgh I have several rooms + hall stairs and landing to strip (walls & ceilings); sounds like a steamer is the tool can anyone recommend a particular one, or any other tips other than get someone else to do it.

Drilled into cable accidentally but is it safe to leave

Earlier this evening I accidentally touched a cable whilst drilling, lights tripped off. I reset at consumer box and lights are working again; question is, is this safe to leave?

My detector wouldn't work as I was drilling in a corner.

I'll follow this thread with interest as I have a similar problem but haven't progressed it as far as you have. I have tried before using a pva glue mix as a primer but it hasn't worked; good luck
