What about performing a continuity test across the switch pair, to at least stand half a chance of getting the polarity correct at the light fitting?

First of all, 12kW works out to over 52A, so a 50A MCB is not suitable. As for the cable, far more information is required. How long is the run? How will it be routed? No, that is perfectly normal.

If you do not know such basic principals, I really think you have alot of reading to do before you attempt any more DIY electrical work.
