Re: Moretti Concealed Shower Connection - What Pipe Size Fittings are Best?

Hi, That had me hopeful so I went and bought 1/2" fittings. Unfortunately they are too small so they'll have to get swapped for 3/4" ones. Any thoughts on best pipe sizes? I know that the part of the shower that comes out of the wall with the showered attached is a 1/2" female fitting...

Moretti Concealed Shower Connection - What Pipe Size Fittings are Best?

Hi All, I have a new Moretti concealed shower that I want to fit. It appears that the connections are 3/4" male threaded fittings which I have found, although need to double check they are not 1/2". Assumming they are 3/4", is it better to fit 22mm supply pipes, or 15mm? Cold supply i...

Re: Strange Pressure Issue With Heating System - Camray Oil Fired Combi Boiler

Sorry, that was a typo, should have been re-pressurised, not de. I pumped it up using a foot pump with a gauge on it until it was just over the 20psi mark. I then checked it with my digital pressure gauge I keep for checking the car tyres with and it was reading 22psi. As you say the 22psi should be...

Re: Strange Pressure Issue With Heating System - Camray Oil Fired Combi Boiler

OK, so managed to check the pressure in the expansion vessel. 3.5psi. Didn't seem to be leaking water into the air chamber so I've depressurised it to 20psi for now. Not sure if that's enough but I didn't want to go wild with it as I don't have the manual. No change on behaviour though. Stuck 0.5bar...

Re: Strange Pressure Issue With Heating System - Camray Oil Fired Combi Boiler

Thanks plumb bob! Having read some other posts I was wondering if a faulty expansion vessel might be to blame. Am I correct in assuming that if I dump off the pressure in the system I can measure the vessel with some sort of gauge? Also, what would be the ideal pressure, or would you need more info ...

Re: Strange Pressure Issue With Heating System - Camray Oil Fired Combi Boiler

Ok, so tonight after it's been running for a while the pressure has gone up to almost the 3 bar mark. Other strange thing. I'm sure previously that when the thermostat called for heat, the boiler would just run until the desired temp was reached, then it would switch off until called again. Now it a...

Strange Pressure Issue With Heating System - Camray Oil Fired Combi Boiler

Hi All, Hope someone can point me in the correct direction here with this strange pressure issue I'm experiencing with our heating system. It's a Camray Oil fired combi boiler. System is installed for a bungalow with 9 radiators attached. Hot water works perfectly. I've had trouble with it since las...

Personally I would give it at least a day for the paste to dry properly before you wet it again with the paint.

Check that the soil stack vent isn't blocked. Sounds like it might be and the flushing of the upstairs toilet is causing the water to be pulled out of the traps in the kitchen sink. If you get someone to flush the loo while you are in the kitchen and you hear a gurgling this is possibly your problem.

You'll have to make a template from card then transfer it to whatever surface you want to put in place.

You don't need a sink at all.

You will need water feeds (now adays its common to just need the cold water feed and not the hot) and a waste outlet.

If your other sink is nearby then you can use that, otherwise you would have to have a standpipe next to the machine.

Whatever you do, don't lay directly onto the floorboards. I tried this once, it didn't last long. You need to overlay the floorboards with some sheet ply to strengthen the floor and minimise the flex in it. If the floor moves then theres every chance the adhesive will crack and the tiles will work l...

I would recommend not using wood filler. That is used for filling holes and the like in wood, and not for gap filling.

What you are needing is an exterior sealer or filler. Have a look in the silicon section of your DIY shop for such items.
