If the water has leaked under the plastic sheet (damp proof membrane) then you should be ok. This assumes the membrane is not damaged.

Get onto your insurance company they will send someone out to assess it.

Has anybody any experience of using self adhesive underlay (

I spoke to someone at the weekend and they thought it was any easy way to lay tongue and groove flooring without glueing. Does it hold well and not move once laid?

Laying Wooden Floor Through An Arch

Can anybody give me any advice for laying a (floating) oak floor in a kitchen/diner with an archway? The full length of the room is approx 8 metres, should I go all of the way through or use some kind of expansion threshold at the arch? If so, can anybody recommend any (the arch is about 4ft wide). ...
