DEAD THREE PIN SOCKET

OUR DISHWASHER STOPPED WORKING. SUDDENLY CHECKED THE FUSE, NO PROBLEM. APPEARED TO BE THE WM HAD DIED, 10 YEARS OLD THEN DISCOVERED NO POWER FROM SOCKET THE SOCKET ITSELF HAD DIED, CHANGED SOCKET, OLD FOR NEW AND ALL IS WORKING. I am visiting my mum and dad. A series of three lights, the last in the chain I think can be on one minute and when a switch is used all thre die. No fuse or circuit switch pops. It is sporradic.
