Yes and they stripped the boiler down and could not find anything major.

They did say that the 4 screws holding the front plate of the burner box were loose and air could have been affecting the ignition.

Any way it was fully serviced and so far no more bangs.

Help!! When heating kicked in this morning there was an almighty bang from the boiler as it fired up as tho' too much gas was being ignited.
