Wood Stain Internal Ceiling Beams

I was wondering if anyone can suggest a good woodstain for existing wooden ceiling beams. I bought some Sadolin classic wood treatment and applied it to one wooden oak lintel and it has left it shiny. I want to treat the other lintels and beams but don't wanta shine. Can anyone suggest any alternati...

Lights either on or off after fitting new fitting

I'd be grateful; for some help. I changed a single lgith in study for a 4 spot bar light and wired the cables exactly as they had been when i took off the original ight. There are three cables in the ceiling (old colours) and they were wired all live in one terminal block, all earth in another, two ...

Just put one of the black wires to the brown terminal and one of the brown into the black terminal and both of the pir lights are working off the switch. That leaves of the 3 core plus earth cable two earth into one block, two blue into one block, one black into a brown and one brown into a black. I...

Thanks Stoneyboy.

The problem i now have is that the second pir light will not go off even if the switch is turned off. Somehow I have bypassed the LS. It only goes off if i disconnect at the consumer unit.

The other pir works fine. Both worked great until i replaced one of the pir's.

I'd be grateful if someone could tell me what i have done wrong. I have changed a pir light which has two sets of 3 core plus earth going into it. These cables serve two pir lights on the front of my house. The old pir had the black wires going into a connector block. The new pir has LS,N,E,L. I've ...

Thanks chris_on_tour2002.
So I can run this off the lighting circuit to a fused 3Amp switch. All circuits are rcd protected in the house.
How has the aqua lisa shower been since you fitted it. Any problems?

Thanks Stoneyboy. I'll run it from the nearest socket.
All the circuits are rcd protected so I guess a simple 2 pole 3 Amp fused spur.

Connecting aqua lisa cable to processor box

Can anyone advise me if i can connect an aqua lisa processor box (3amp) for a shower to an existing fused spur that is connected to the ch/hw programmer.
If not can i spur off it to a single socket and connect the processor cable via a 3amp plug.
