Thanks for the reply. I was originaly thinking wood myself but really like the waved tile effect pictured in the link you posted. Do you know of anywhere I could get a reasonably priced white version of that wave effect tile?

internal stud walls

Hi,

I'm attempting to put up internal stud walls myself. I would like a different finish to the usual plasterwork. If anybody knows any good suppliers of wood veneer finishes or any other wall coverings I'd really appreciate your input. I'm based in Manchester.

polishing a concrete floor

Hi, I'm about to move into a an appartment with wooden/carpeted flooring. I intend to include a polished concrete floor in the refurbishing of the property but am on a recession budget! There is already a concrete floor underneath the wood and carpet, can I simply polish this? I can't really see why...
