Electric shower on but no water

Can someone please provide some ideas as to what has happened to this shower? The unit indicates that it is on when the electric supply is switched on, sadly there is no water coming out. Has the unit just packed in and a new one required or is there possibly another explanation and an easy solution...

Dripping new mono bloc tap

I have just installed a new Bristan Shadow mono bloc tap in the kitchen. All the joints are dry but despite the fact I have checked both hot and cold water valves to make sure they are clean I am still getting a very slow drip from the spout. It takes about 5 minutes to form and then drip. Any advic...
