Thanks Guys None of the pipework has been altered in any way whatsoever. Originally, the actuator sat in what I would call the upright postion at 12 noon attached to the pipework with the HWM label facing you and the writing on the actuator in the upright readable position and the elecrical wiring c...

Drayton BGMVSP23 Mid Position Actuator Valve - How it works?

Hi Guys

On one side is the relase clip for removal from the spindle on the pipework. On the other side a lever which is H,W and M both of these self explanatory but, What is the sprung lever on top of the valve for?

What does it do?

Thanks but maybe I have not explained it correctly as it cant be a case of having to adjust the pipework. I know this because before I started to try and fix my hot water and heating problem the actuator sat in the upright postion. Now for some reason the actuator is at 90 degrees to its original po...

How to change the angle my mid position actuator valve sits

During a problem with getting hot radiators when calling for hot water only which is now fine the angle at which my drayton mid position actuator now sits at has moved so its now too close to one of the hot water pipes. How do I adjust the angle of its position attached to the spindle? TIA Tony

Thanks again Plumbbob I now have it working properly. How? I,m not quite sure? but it was after I called for hot radiators only. Up until this point I'd just been trying for hot water only. Maybe the 3 way valve had been stuck and calling for central heating freed it. The only thing I need to do now...

Thanks Plumbob

I am unable to to move the slide on the side of the actuator between H,W and M and on the top of the valve there is a sprung lever which is permanently in the down postion.

Is this sugesting an electrical fault?

Central Heating Actuator or 3 way valve problem?

Hi Guys I am getting both hot water and hot radiators when either just hot water or just central heating is called for. I suspect it is one of the above. The actuator is a Drayton BGMVSP-23 and I fortunately had a spare and have tried this to no avail leading me to think it is the three way valve? I...

Hot radiators when only heating the water system

I have a gas boiler with seperate controls for heating the radiators and the water in the immersion heater upstairs. With just the hot water heating on the radiators are getting hot and the hot water luke warm only. My guess is it's a valve stuck somewhere but where might it be and what would it loo...
