boiler

hi everyone.halstead combi boiler, hot water comes on for a couple of minuetes then cuts out. if i leave the boiler on standby for a few minuets n create a demand for hot water it will come back on hot for a couple of minuets then same again anyone any ideas cheers bazza

hi htg engineer. sorry 4 askin again mate' but this boiler is driving me crazy lol. i managed to free the pin which is now moving up n down wen i turn the boiler on and off. and i can get the hot water on now without 2 much trouble but every time i turn the tap off 'it goes to lockout n needs resett...

hi msg2. the fault code is coming up as 1&3' which says the pressure/flow switch is inoperable. but changed flow switch and still nothing happens. elso changed hw thermister. its driving me mad, it is the boiler from hell lol.

hi mate sorry 4 late reply.been busy working . changed the aps on my sisters boiler , but still wont fire up. the fault finding sequence on front of boiler indicates water pressure switch inoperative. so i changed the flow switch, and also the hot water thermister. but still wont fire up. have also ...

hi htg engineer. i av got a pump which came off a system fed by a back boiler, the pump works ok my uncle just changed to a combi so i took the old pump thought it might come in handy lol) if i take head of that will it be suitable for my boiler its a vailant? cheers bazza

hi htg engineer guess your right i'l change the pump lol. but with the boiler being under warranty do u think i shud just get them 2 send a engineer out .or just change it myself (just thinking of the cost im being tight in the reccession lol) thanx 4 all your help mate nice one cheers bazza

hi mate. i drained system 2day and flushed it out a couple of times' but still no joy with the two downstairs rads. ( still wont heat up ) after filling system up i tried to bleed pump. but again asoon as i unscrew the plug in the front it just pours out with water, i was always told just a few drop...

hi htg engineer. when i switched boiler on 2day the error code f22 flashed once for a second, then the boiler continued to run ok ( no error codes )so i checked manual and the code means a blocked or defective pump. so i thought id undo the bleed vent again and turn the shaft a couple of times, but ...

thanx 4 reply htg engineer the pipework is 10mm. and ive checked pump and there is power going to the pump ok, ive also bled the pump to check 4 air but again ok, is there anything else i can check on the pump ? also if it is a blockage; wud the best way to get rid of that be to flush out the system...
