You need to consult with the manufacturer of your Pamments because they vary regionally in their construction mix. If you have grouted them already then you should go back and check the grout properties to ensure that it is able to cope with the extremes of temperature as well.

Well, that depends on how good a finish you want to achieve. I believe the best effect is to have the tiles flat in all directions and its perfect when you can put a level on it and the tiled area is spot on vertical too, although these days not much is square or true in property! You might choose t...

Second, what is the wall constructed of that is behind your original layer of tiles? All materials have a fini...

It is an important point to know that when tiling over any floor that is considered flexible i.e. timber, you should use a flexible tile adhesive and a flexible grout. These products are usually powder based to which you add water but are very worthwhile because without them you are more likely to g...

If I had tiled this floor I would be a bit cheesed off to have some mortar or whatever chucked on the top to bed the pan into; One of the best reasons a floor is tiled under a pan or pedestal is so that in the future when they might be changed, you can keep the floor and the footprint of the ceramic...

I'm not aware of an easy answer to get you your desired finish so the best solution might just be to use a self levelling compound to fill your patches. You can purchase different types of "latex" as we (tilers) call it and I am aware that Wickes sell a variety according to the thickness y...

How to finish off the DPM on a concrete base?

Hi, I'm putting in a shed base 2.5m x 5.85m. I've dug down 200mm because I want it to be level with my patio when its finished. I am putting 100mm of hardcore in first, compacting that with a wacker plate, then sand to protect a damp proof membrane before pouring ready mixed concrete on top to level...
