Rewire - what to consider

Hi

Am buying a 70s bungalow and appears untouched.

I was considering a rewire after seeing the old sockets but after removing one the wiring looks good but...

What needs to be checked before considering a full rewire (wire thickness, earth etc)

Depends on budget, try looking for a lake with a chalet in the Dordogne (picturesque)

for terrain only best looking coastal or 45mins to
the Vendee or Charente Maritime are nice places, the Gironde maybe or further down towards Biarritz

France - bricodepot.fr good for shower units taps etc
you will need different tap connections here tho
best sower units to go for are the self sealing type, full enclosures from 250 euros

Extension not conforming to regs - how to

I have a small ext at the rear of the house and despite being built 40+ years ago it has been mentioned by a surveyor that it doesnt conform to building regs

to make it all nicey nice for these jobsworths how can I make it conform

could I make a timber frame, insulate etc for it to conform?

I've binned most of it, it was a mix of 12.5mm and something about half that which was the usual plaster

Do have some more to remove though, not a great deal, thinks its concrete tbh

What sort of board is this

First post of many (probably) Am renovating a property, previous owner had died and been in the house about 30 years or so. I'm removing old plasterboards to insulate, these are in a ground floor extension (old) but do have some wires behind and believe it to have been rewired in the last ten years....
