I would use maybe a feather edge fence board or a 4 x 1 treated board and make a hit and miss fence. if you need any tips to make this let me know

the cracks should close its just the weather adn because its softwood they will close again as the weather changes. I have posts that have the same thing happen to them.

It depends if it was treated before you bought it or not?if it wasnt then you need to treat is as soon as possbile but if you bought it ready treated then you dont need to do it for a while.

Carwyn, Depending on what decking you have for example if it has a wax treament in it you want to leave it weather for a year then clean it off next year and use an oil on it rather than a stain because it looks terrible with a stain. dont treat a wax treated deckign til next year cause it will just...

Hi rodney i would go for the 5 inch board as the 6 inch boards tend to be more prone to splitting and cupping.
