I,m now at point of putting RSJs up 1 catnic cxl240 across double garage opening to support outer leaf of natural stone ,with 75mm blockwork behind with a 2nd rsj behind, to support 100mm block inner leaf. the 1st floor...

hi , ive recently bought a 180 + yr old property ,and found the roof joists to have been messed about with .IE cross braces removed ,and replaced with 2x2 box section frames (to walk thru) with steel straps bridging gap from th frame to main roof support.
