I think you can , just be careful if you do a scratch coat not to go all the way through to the wall as the damp may penetrate at the scratch points.

Hi libbo, you will need to do the injection cream first and then tank. You can buy tanking products or use a cement sand render with waterproof additive. I don't know if you can advertise on this site but look at twistfix.com they offer a tanking product. Are you absolutely sure you have rising damp...

Hi Stoneyboy, I was going to render the walls with a cement & sand waterproof additive to stop the damp then stud and board over which would contain my electrics and I could also pack the stud with insulation, this may help wiht the condensation issue? I may just render the walls and chase my el...

Anyone have any ideas at all?

I was thinking 8 x sand to 1x cement and 1x lime mix to let the walls breath? Rather then adding in a water prooof additive

Hi All, I have an extension on a Victorian house with 9 inch solid brick walls which are damp from bottom to top. Damp meter is in the red everywhere!
