thanks buddy. this will defo help.

I wasn't interested in having it monitored, it's for part of the house that will not be used much so just going to place sensors in that part of the house, someone will always pretty much be in the house.

your 3 core is the one that is bringing electricity to your ceiling rose, the 4 core is for reverse switch - it looks like it you have two switches to control this light. the best and easiest method would be look at the current setup in your ceiling rose and mark the cables that go together, it shou...

did you not use insulation, like kingspan stuff, that would have helped reduce the noise coming through. have you spoken to the manufacturers, do you know what roofing system /brand they installed, Topseal, Polyroof a few to name. its probably worth giving the manufacturers a call to see if they can...
